31 Day Challenge – Day 1
I’m participating in the ProBlogger 31 Days to Build a Better Blog challenge. I’ve gotten a late start (spam filter fail) but I’m excited to work on it. The first day’s challenge is:
Basically, an elevator pitch is a short overview that can be delivered in the time span of an elevator ride. So about 30 seconds worth of information. It’s useful to be able to describe what you do that quickly to grab someone’s attention fast. Once you’ve hooked them, you can follow it up with more information, but it’s important to be able to quickly and concisely describe what you/your blog are all about.
I’ve had a tag line that I use on cards and should be using on the website (note to self- actually put it on here). Mine is:
Design solutions for web, print, and multimedia.
I actually haven’t looked at it in quite a while, and it looks a little generic. I think I can do better. I’d like to have it be more descriptive and also more fun. The information I would like to include is:
- The type of design I do. This includes mainly print and web, but also identity and multimedia.
- A little bit about my style, which is very clean and modern look.
- Possibly the fact that I am primarily an in-house designer?
So what I’ve been able to come up with is:
A clean and fresh approach to your brand through web, print, and multimedia. From your logo to your letterhead to your online presence, I’d like to modernize your identity while infusing it with your style and my experience.
This is a bit more descriptive and a lot more personal than my previous attempt. It can also be shortened to just the first sentence as a tagline. I may think about it more as I build this site, as I’m not 100% sure where I want to take it just yet. However, this will be something good to start me off.
