Web in Review is a post of links that I col­lect from RSS feeds, links pro­vided by my lovely Twit­ter friends, and some­times links I hap­pen upon by accident. Here are a few of the links I found inter­est­ing recently. • Zen Tex­tures — 100’s of Free Tex­tures — Huge library of free high-resolution textures.
• 24 ways: 10 Ways To Get Design Approval — Fan­tas­tic arti­cle about the design approval process and the psy­chol­ogy behind it. Must read!
• Con­ver­sa­tion Agent: 7 Things I Learned Online that I Use at Work — Excel­lent arti­cle about how to use the web to your advan­tage at work.
• http://www.vignelli.com/canon.pdf — Mas­simo Vignelli’s Canon– a must-read for any designer.
• Mac Lounge Beta — Pos­si­ble com­peti­tor to Tweet­Deck and DestroyTwit­ter for the Mac. Looks promising.
• 42 Pag­i­na­tion Design Inspi­ra­tion | Komu­ni­tasWeb — Pag­i­na­tion is some­thing that is so often left to the last minute or even over­looked. These sites are def­i­nitely the opposite.
• How Twit­ter Makes You A Bet­ter Writer — Copy­blog­ger — Nice point of view– I def­i­nitely need to learn to be more concise!
• 100 (Non-Design) Blogs that Every Web Designer Should Read  — Web Design Schools Guide — Excel­lent list of blogs to fol­low that are unre­lated to design.
• Cute Twit­ter #fail­whale wall­pa­pers by @cheth | cheth Stu­dios — Twit­ter has been on the fritz quite a bit of late, so @cheth took the oppor­tu­nity to cre­ate some adorable wall­pa­pers ded­i­cated to everyone’s favorite cetacean.
• A tuto­r­ial for good typog­ra­phy in InDe­sign — Set­ting up a base­line grid | Typophile — Ran into some trou­ble work­ing with base­line grids today. The fol­low­ing arti­cle pro­vided by @fetopher helped me immensely.
• Chil­dren Book Illus­tra­tions Show­case — Tutorial9 — Some immensely tal­ented illus­tra­tors. Children’s books are always an unex­pected source of really great illustrations.
• 4 Must Know Logo Design Tips — Impor­tant things to con­sider when design­ing a logo that are often overlooked.
• 50 Great Wall­pa­pers about Design | Design was here — Some beau­ti­ful wall­pa­pers with some insight­ful and funny com­ments about design.
